since the weather here is a bit windy and chilly i thought i would cook something warming.
tomato soup with sausage
2 large cans tomato soup
2 large cans crushed tomato
2 large cans diced tomato
place all in a medium stock pot,that is nested in a larger pot that has water in it
so you have a double boiler.
add
3 tblsp minced dry onion
1 tspn onion powder
1 tspn garlic powder
1/2 tspn crushed red pepper
1/4 tspn cayenne pepper
1/2 tspn black pepper
1 tblspn ground sage
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
use medium heat,cook an hour
use 2 lbs of your favorite sausage.cook and drain fat(i use hi-quality pork)
add to the soup
and cook another hour
cook a pkg of egg noodles/egg dumplings
place a handful of noodles in each bowl
fill with the tomato soup
