Hello Everyone,
Do any of you use your DE Razor in the Shower ? The reason I ask is that I used to shave with a Mach 3 in the Shower and had rather decent shaves with it. I am curious if this would be the case with a DE Razor.
Regards,
David

I have a few times but I find I always have better luck shaving at the sink afterwards. I think I rush it too much in the shower.

Most of the time, that's where I shave. There should be a thread on that around here somewehre if you have the chance to look. Of course, one must be careful against dropping the razor... both for the razor's sake and for, um, other things as well.

I believe that there was a recent poll here at B&B on this topic. I don't remember the numbers, but it seems that something like 10% or a little more shower-shaved. The vast majority shaved at sink/mirror following a shower. Do as you will --it's your shave.

I have never shaved in the shower, nor wanted to. My wife shaves her legs in the shower and I hate it when I find those whiskers on the soap and in the soap dish. But, I don't say anything for the sake of family harmony.

Being a glasses wearer shaving in the shower isn't possible. I can't even shave right after as my glasses fog up. I've got a fog free mirror but the glasses don't co-operate.

I'm probably one of the few here who shave in the shower. I just happen to enjoy it, and I have kind of an elaborate set-up to do it. I have 2 shower heads on a diverter that allows me to switch back and forth. One is hand-held w/ all the different spray & massage settings, and the second is a a water-saver head that can be toggled on & off. I use it for shaving, along with a fogless lighted mirror. I also have a shelf that hold 2 razors (currently a Merkur LHC & a '61 Slimboy), a couple of creams, & one brush.

Definitely a shower shaver. Easy cleanup and you can be as messy with the lather as you like.

I shave in the shower with a DE but not with a straight. Just too risky . . . know what I mean?

I started shaving in the shower about 10 years ago. Fogless mirrors, the whole nine yards. This continued after I started using a D/E for several months. Then, I realized that I was in the shower about 20-25 minutes longer than usual with my 3 pass routine and started taking the routine to the sink. Much more satisfying, as now, before getting in shower, I soak brush and razor in shaving bowl with hot water, shower for about 10 minutes. After the shower, the bathroom is pretty steamy, then I fill up sink with hot water, make lather and put bowl in sink to keep lather warm ( a la Mantic). Family members much happier now that I'm not in the shower for 35 minutes! Now I'm at the sink for... well, as long as I please
