Going thorugh some of the threads, it would seem that Tobac, Mitchells Wool Fat, Cade, and Art of Shaving seems to be the most preferred soaps.

Which ones generaly has the best longevity, lasting the longest?

Of the ones that last the longest, are they also the hardest to get to a good lather?

It's hard to tell. Any of those will last over 6 months. if you use other soaps, creams, etc it will last over a year.

theyre all pretty easy to lather. I've heard some complain about bad lather with MWF, but if you load your brush for a minute or so and add a few drops of water when it feels dry while loading you will be fine.

Out of all of those, MWF is my favorite.

Not to hijack the thread, but approximately go soaps like mama bears tend to last?

I have two shave kits, one at home and one at work. I have been using the same soap in both kits but two different brushes. The best badger brush seems to use much more soap than my silver tip brush and the silver tip makes a better lather in the process.
Food for thought.

I believe triple-milled soaps tend to be harder, which end up lasting longer.

We should try to get a bunch of these numbers in the wiki.

I have a long rotation though, so my soaps seemingly last forever. :P You can probably get 3-4 months out of a single MB soap though.

True.

I wish I could give you a length of time but I have enough soaps in my rotation, I don't see me finishing any of them in the near future! :blushing:

Plan on 6-8 months for every day use. Maybe more for triple milled.

The only soap that I used up was IK, as a softer shea soap.

The fat lasts 3-4 months of daily use.
