View Full Version : Is this razor usable?
Hi gents! I came across this razor on Czech auction site and it looks quite nice to me. I'm not even in the straight razor thing, I'm awaiting my first, but I like the idea. So I said myself it wouldn't be so bad to obtain some vintage razors. It is J. A. Henckels, one of the more popular brands here on B&B, as I inderstand. Do you recommend to buy this razor? And would by 20-30$ accurate? I don't know if I try to restore it myself or send it to someone reliable yet. I'm thinking of buying one of the cheaper coticule... Thank you very much for your advice.
Oh, I forgot to attach picture...

i don't see why not. I'd buy it if I found it for that price. It looks good in the picture. Send it out to a honemeister though if you don't know how to hone yet. It looks to nice to learn on.

We're unanimous so far. Looks to be in good shape and the price is right.
Henckels are great shavers.
Thank you for your answers. I'll try to get it and will report about it later.
I've just won this razor for approximately 35$. I will send pictures after I recieve it, I know you like them .

Don't understand how this happened, I was on the first page of the general straight forum! Still it was a nice snag.
