Exactly what the title says: no cash, but trade, internationally.
What is available in your country that is not available someplace else?
It doesn't necessarily have to be shave-related.
But for example, maybe some bay rum scented product from the US could be mailed to you in trade for something unique to where you are, if you can't easily get bay rum where you are.

The family of someone I work with makes their own maple syrup. Hands down best I've ever had (but locally produced, non-store bought usually is). Don't know if it can be legally shipped internationally, though...thought I once heard there are restrictions on honey, so it may not apply.
I post this not knowing what other countries produce maple syrup. Canada for sure.

I've tried it (or maybe it was Marmite, can't recall) but couldn't get the hang of it...what's the proper/best way to eat it?

The only thing I can think of that the US has that doesn't seem to be available elsewhere is Williams and Dollar menu's at McDonalds.

No, they have a "dollar" menu in Japan too.

The best way is on buttered toast. Let the Vegimite and butter melt in together. Sensational.

Yes, I have heard of that (we spell it "ham"). And is it true there are laws against exporting it?

I do believe the secret for us North Americans is to NOT think that it is like a spread like we are used to :001_smile
A little goes a long way, put it on very lightly. Then it really is good, I love the stuff.

People seduced by that picture should read the book "Perfect Pig". It's an interesting read.

That jamon is making me hungry... I'm not sure what brand we get here in Australia...
I would love to open a Museo del Jamon in Melbourne though!

Sweden is the home of snoose (snus) and its a gentlemans essential.
Its a centralstimula and alot better than smoking.
Here at B&B, is a very nice info for Americans

I deadset hate vegemite! Ugh.
But according to my old yankee housemate, chicken flavoured potato chips aren't commonplace in the States like they are here in Oz. Is that true?

We can get Vegemite alongside the Marmite in most British supermarkets. Being a Brit, i should prefer Marmite but I really prefer the Vegemite! Lighter flavour. Reckon it's down to waste lager yeast rather than bitter!

Chicken flavored potato chips? I don't recall ever seeing any. And I've lived around abouts the US of A for a while.
I'm not even sure I would buy them if I saw them, but then again, I actually like the flavor of plain salted potato chips.

I acquired the taste for Vegemite when I lived in Ireland for a brief time.
Here in the states, we indeed do not see chicken flavored potato chips. Another flavor I used to like that we don't get over here is prawn flavored chips.

Find yourself a Chinese grocery. All the fish flavored chips you would want.

From the UK:
Yorkshire Tea, arguably the best standard british tea there is
Cadburys Chocolate (much nicer than the australian made stuff)
Jaffa Cakes (can you get those outside the uk?)
in rival to vagemite: Marmite

We regularly buy PG Tips b/c of the two it's a bit cheaper and easier to find, but we've got a box of the Yorkshire. It does taste somewhat better than Tips, I think. But either are better than the usual U.S. brands (they're not crap, just not as good).
My favorite British export? Strongbow.

I have recently made an offer to an Australian gentleman in trade for Vegemite, which I only know of from that '80's Men At Work song..

You are exactly right. The Camel snus is 100% garbage. It's fermented tobacco rather than pasteurized like real Snus. Fortunately, there are a couple of websites that have the genuine Swedish Snus at a reasonable price. One of them (Northerner.com) ships directly from Sweden. I started Snusing a few months ago to cut down on smoking and it's great. It's still addictive as hell and not recommended if you're not already a tobacco user, but it's healthier than smoking and a great stand-in for a cigarette after dinner at a restaurant or, God forbid, if they've outlawed smoking in your favorite pub. If you're trying to quit smoking, it works better than that stupid nicotine gum.
