The Obama administration today announced that since the president was too busy to participate in yesterday's festivities, by executive decree, he has extended "April Fools" day to include April 2nd.

The president says he may need to extend it even further as he has quite a few surprises for us he has yet to get to!

50,000 of those jobs are census takers. The rest are below projections so it is really bad economic news.

Taxes are going up for everyone who actually pays taxes.

Health care costs are going up dramatically. Was it AT&T who said it was going to cost them 1 Billion dollars?

Real reform of the financial industry would be to eliminate the quasi-government agencies that caused the melt down in the first place -- FANNIE-MAE and FREDDY MAC.

I am not sure if I hope or believe enough people understand that.

EDIT: The major European economies (heavily socialized) have been growing at about 1.5% per year over the past decade or so whereas the US economy grew at double that rate. Two of my financial advisors say that the increased socialization of the US will drive our economic growth rate down to that of the European economies and I need to take that into account when projecting my retirement income. HINT! find less regulated economies to invest in.

I'm sure I am not alone in this. Those who will get hurt the most are those in less fortunate positions than I am in.
