Does Anyone Know What Is Up With Knize Ten?

Or more specifically, the lack of availability? I was just fiddling around Manufactum's website and they seem to have it but for some reason, no one in North America does. At least as far as I can tell. For awhile you could find the shave soap refill, which is what I was kind of nosing around for, but the scents both edt and a/s seem to have vanished from shelves. I just wondered if someone had heard about distribution issues or whatever. Thanks.

Last I checked, they ship the Knize 10 with no box and no cap, but it's the real deal.

Supposedly Knize is repackaging and upgrading their factory source. They are supposed to come back this year.

Two things come to mind. First, it's a tester and this discourages resale. I have a couple of other testers that either came with no cap or with a cheap plastic cover.

The other thing that I thought was that they might be bottles that were scrapped by dealers somewhere. The retailer might have to return some part of the bottle--like the cap--to their distributor in order to get credit for it; after that, they're supposed to throw out the rest. When I was a kid, the local magazine distributor would always let us look through his unsold stock of comic books and paperbacks before he threw them out. All of them had the covers torn off--he said that he returned them to his distributor because it was too expensive to ship the whole unused book back.

I have heard all good about Colonial, except perhaps that they are a little disorganized sometimes.

Can someone save me a call and tell me whether they have any of the Knize frags besides K10? Last time I checked with them directly they did not, as I recall.

I would love to try some Knize Forest, but really any of the Knize frags would be interesting to me.

I am a big K10 fan.

According to an email I received from Knize last spring, there are no authorized retailers in the U.S. (didn't occur to me to ask about Canada or Mexico).

That doesn't mean that Colonial's stock isn't legit. As mentioned above, I'd guess Colonial and a few others have a combination of their own NOS and other dealer's stock.

In the past several vendors have carried Knize including enchanteonline.

This is my guess too. It's by all accounts legit juice.

I got a sample from them and it was potent stuff. i.e. Not so old it lost its power.

Well thanks gents. I guess I am not the only one interested in this fragrance house. I have seen the blog linked to in the first response. I hope this pans out. I too want to try the Knize Forest. It sounds like a fabulous fragrance. Thanks gents.

I sent Colonial Drugs an email asking about Knize Forest earlier this week - haven't heard anything back from them and haven't had time to call them on the phone.
