We made a few improvements to the site that we hope you'll enjoy:
1. New "Favorite Smilies" option.
2. Put Youtube and Google Videos directly in a post.
3. New Google Map for shaving related establishments.
1. New "Favorite Smilies" option.
Ever have trouble wading through the near endless option of smilies? Now you can customize the smilies that show up in the "Smilies" box when you're creating a new thread or post.
You can edit your Favorite Smilies one of two ways:
1. Go to your "User CP" and in the "Settings & Options" menu on the left choose "Edit Favorite Smilies".
2. Click on the "Favorite Smilies" icon: http://badgerandblade.com/vb/images/editor/favoritesmilies.gif when creating a new post or thread.
2. Put Youtube and Google Videos directly in a post.
This is a modification inspired by (Mantic) Mark's hard work. If you would like to post video directly into a thread, you can now do so. In the post editor, you will now find both a YouTube and a Google icon: http://badgerandblade.com/vb/images/editor/youtube.gif http://badgerandblade.com/vb/images/editor/google.gif. Clicking one of these buttons will insert the appropriate site's BB code. Then, simply put the video's link, or ID inside the code. You can find more advanced options in the BB Code List (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/misc.php?do=bbcode).
3. New Google Map for shaving related establishments.
Many of you have requested a way to identify barbershops, and stores with shaving products. Now you can on our Hotspot Google Map (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/vbgooglemaphse.php).
To use, simply navigate the map and click on a location of interest. Once the info balloon for that location opens, you can click the "Show Details" link to view the address for that location, as well as more details about that establishment. You can view a listing of the entries by clicking the "List Elements" link.
To add a new location:
1. Click the "Add Elements" link.
2. Give your new location a title.
3. Navigate and zoom in on the map so you can see the location where you'd like to place the marker.
4. Click once on the location you'd like to place the marker. The marker should appear. To move the marker, simply click once on the map where you'd like to place it.
5. Put a brief description in "Marker Text".
6. In virtually all cases, ignore "Special Date".
7. Put a link to a website if appropriate.
8. Put a link to a discussion thread if appropriate.
9. Put the URL for an image or logo (optional).
10. Under "Full text for the details page" put the address of the location, as well as any further pertinent details.
11. Click "Insert the information" and voila.
