Just shut off local AM talk radio....usually listen to that during my shave. Before sun-up, I'll catch WWL, New Orleans, WSB, Atlanta, and WSM, Nashville....all 50,000 watt AM power stations. Great listening up here in the frozen waste land on NW Ohio!

If you dig the tickling of the ivories, listen to Nat "King" Cole's Penthouse Serenade. Just Nat on the keys, no vocal (except for 1 or 2 tracks). Really great stuff.

Jazz is Dead's album "Blue Light Rain". Jazz is dead is a pretty little known collaboration between Billy Cobham (played with Miles Davis etc), Jimmy Herring, Alphonso Johnson (from Weather Report), and T Lavitz. They had 2 instrumental albums of intrepations on Grateful Dead songs, hence "Jazz is Dead". Really great and fairly little known stuff from some heavy hitters in the current Jazz world. I believe both albums are currently out of print.
