Hi guys this is my 1st post so forgive me if I posted at the wrong section
I have been a long time lurker here and after reading a few good reviews about the Clinique M Shave Aloe Gel, I went out and bought a bottle. This is one good shave gel and I have no regrets about the pricey purchase. However something bugs me. The plastic bottle of the Clinique M Shave Aloe Gel makes a slight rattling sound as though something is loose inside when I shake it. I reckon there is another container of some sorts inside that actually hold the gel. It's either that or my bottle is defective.
Any of you guys that owns a bottle please help me out here to determine if there is something wrong with my bottle of Clinique M Shave Aloe Gel by giving your bottle a shake and see if there is a slight rattling coming from the inside.
Thank you !

Hi,
yes, there's a presurised container inside the outer container.
The volumes of the gel is about 70-% of what you would expect from looking at the outer gel.Its a marketing ply so you think you are getting value for money.
I did not think much of the gel. Too thin, and not slick enough.
Speick, Tabac, Proraso, Taylors blow it out of the water.
Anyway, each to his own. Enjoy.

If you're happy with it, that's what counts. However, I am curious to know what your basis for comparison is. What else have you tried? Perhaps I'm wrong, but I have a suspicion if you were to try some of the finer shaving creams on the market, and use them with a good shaving brush, you might not find the Clinique gel so satisfying. Just a hunch, based on having used the gel myself.
As for your main query, I think Skeptic nailed it: it's a double container. Welcome to Badger and Blade, by the way.

That means that the Clinique Shave Gel is also an aerosol type of shaving cream ? Here I was thinking that the Clinique would a step up quality wise from the usual canned goo. But I agree that it's too thin as I left the lather on for a few minutes and all that was left was this really thin layer of foam. quite disappointing and no different from my previous gillette foam.

Well I am of Chinese descent so I have very little facial hair. But whatever facial hair i have is coarse so I still need some kind of lubrication. Actually a typical can of cheap shaving cream would last me around 6 months as I only shave 2-3 times a week sometimes less. So I guess u can imagine how sparse my facial hair is. Accessories like brushes, bowls, soaps and expensive razors are both alien and unnecessary for me to be honest. In my country those shaving accessories are very hard to get and very expensive as hardly anyone uses them. Actually the main reason I joined BB was so that I could find out more about higher end shaving gels and creams as I have had enough of the canned goo.
In the past I have used Gillette, Nivea and Crabtree & Evelyn shaving gels/foams/creams. I use Schick Quattro blades.
