Just completed a 10 day trip. Here is my travel kit. Who says you can't shave just like at home on a trip? All packed with checked luggage in suit case.

Very nice setup, and I really like the Dopp kit.

I like the way you still take more than one cream/soap.

That looks like a great set-up! I am a recent convert to DE shaving and am only just starting to organise stuff like travel kits- I have just bought a GFT travel brush, I have a couple of soap sticks and now I need to organise small bottles to carry after shave and cologne. Glass bottles look great on the shelf in the bathroom, but don't look good shattered in the bottom of a suitcase :blushing:

:thumbup1:Very cool. I've got a Bea stick on it's way, and I'm wondering if I should save it for travel.

Did you have to pay excess baggage?

Just joking. I must admit though that as a regular traveller, I really try to minimise any excess bulk or weight. The perfect solution is to carry nothing and use whatever you can get for free at the hotel. But some hotels are not that good including most hotels in England. (Actually English hotels are generally rubbish).

The lightest I found is an AVID 4 travel razor and a tube of brushless shaving cream. The AVID 4 looks like a bad razor but it is a twin blade with Merkur stainless steel. It is slimmer than a ballpen and it gives a better shave than a Merkur DE blade. Incidentally, it holds four (AVID 4) twin blade heads. So it is good for a minimium two week trip. Light, simple and very very effective.

Kevin, I picked it up at my local luggage store. I forgot to look at the tag but will tonight. Sorry for being tardy.

Nope, fits right in the suit case next to my electric kettle. The total bag weight for a 10 day trip was 45lbs, I know cause my wifes bags on the way back was 53lbs and they wanted to charge us another $50. I convinced them that we were underweight at 98lbs for 2 bags. They allow 50lbs /bag.
