See title. :)
I'm dying to try this out. Even though I haven't smoked pot in years, I am a proponent of marijuana legalization movements and the extreme efficacy of things like hemp-based hand creams (amazing stuff). I just would have a hard time justifying the shipping cost from Australia just to try a four dollar shave stick.
The only place I've found it online is here-

I hope there's a US vendor in the works!

Interesting indeed. I've used the hand cream stuff in the past and it's great. I'll have to research this.
here's a place not the one you mentioned though.

I think shoeboxshave sells an hemp/aloe shave stick

also australian. :) damn.
FWIW, I have one of their shave sticks. I didn't have high hopes -- the lather disappeared on me like it does with olive oil-based soaps -- but it shaves extremely well. Totally worth the price of admission. :w00t:

Possibly naming the product after the Mexican slang term "Marijuana" instead of proper terms like "Hemp" or "Cannabis" is having an effect on availability through a US distributor? I can see a few sticks making it through customs but not cases.

That's not the same stuff the OP is looking for, not that Kell's is bad product. I have a few of Dan's soaps and they do perform well. You can also buy them direct too, at http://www.kellsoriginal.com/

Would Hemp products trigger false positive on a drug test?

NO. Not the hemp oil used in shaving soaps, lotions, or other cosmetic products allowed to be sold in the USA.
Now a fat b-load might trigger a false positive on a drug test.
Just say NO.....to drug tests.

Both the Marijuana Moisture Shaving Sticks the OP was inquiring about and Kell's Original use hemp seed oil which doesn't contain much if anything THC in it as opposed to hemp oil, which does (Not that hemp contains all that much THC especially when compared to marijuana). So I don't foresee the soap causing false positives.
If you're concerned about false positives, just don't eat the soap. That should guarantee clean results. :001_rolle
Unless you buy a large quantity, I'm unsure if this is worthy...
I think I saw a thread on this a few months ago saying that something like ~30 sticks and the shipping price capped...
Try emailing Ian via marijuanamoisture.com.au
I believe he quoted a B&B member a pretty good deal on 20 sticks. From memory it was like $20 postage for up to 20 sticks.

Interesting. 20 sticks would be 80 dollars plus 20 shipping... That WOULD be a good group buy, I think.
Let me think that one over. I might be interested, though I'd likely charge like a dollar or two premium to make it worth my time. Not sure what shipping charges would be, or how to best go about that part of the deal.

According to Soap calc, Hemp oil is basically Olive oil for soap efficacy. (It is 90 conditioning and ~0 for everything else). If it provides the condition of Olive oil without killing lather, it would be great in shaving soap, but I can't imagine a soap of primarily Hemp oil would make a good shaving soap without #2 being a creamy fat and #3 being a bubbly. Palm Kernel is high bubble, but of the three listed fats on the site linked (Hemp, Kernel, Tea tree), there's nothing that will make the lather creamy, at all. I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Once you find that soap you'll then have to find a Doritoes aftershave to put on 30 minutes later....

Yep, its highly slick stuff but don't expect a creamy, dense lather cos it doesn't provide that at all.
I would highly recommend it for use in a hurry as it works great brushless, just rub it on and lather with wet hands, it is crazy slick...but not good for daily use as it doesn't provide the thick lather for skin protection.

Maybe better as a preshave than a soap?

Just of note: if you do go the group buy route, be sure to run it past the mods first even if it isn't an "official" group buy. While it shouldn't be a problem, they like to be keep in the loop on these things.
