Hey guys I bought this lot for the executive. I would like to know some more of the other razors and their values.

I know this is a Aristrocrat the gold slim. Whats the approximate value of this? it seems to vary a lot!

This is a Gillette I have no clue about. Looks like some type of tech or old type. The handle doesn't seem to match because there was some type of tape making the screw thicker so it would screw together with the handle. What is this and whats its value?

I know this is a Gem of some kind. I'm more of a Gillette/Merkur guy so I have no clue of other brands. What kind of Gem is this and whats its value?

This is some type of plastic DE. It says Neillite. I have no clue what this is. I would like to know more about this razor if anyone knows anything about it. Also is it worth anything?

Aren't the gold Slims actually called Aristocrats? The gold Fat Boy is the Executive.

I've been looking for a goodwill just because I love the head design.

I'll sell it to you. The head and handle don't seem to match though. I only bought the lot for the gold slim.

That's the right type of handle for a Goodwill.
The collar in the handle and the threaded post on the head are both made of brass. The threads may have been stripped or worn.

I guess i can fix it with the tape like the previous owner did. Any idea how much these usually go for?

If the threads on the cap are ok...I can fix the handle....let me know....the good will is definitely worth fixing!!

For how much? The screw is fine. It just the handles threads are either gone or that it's to big for the screw to be able to screw in if that makes any sense. Any value on the aristocrat and the goodwill?

Check the bay on the aristocrat....I have seen some go for big $$$ depending on the condition....I'm no expert so I'm sure others will chime in with some good advice. As for the goodwill...I have no idea on the value...again I leave that to the experts. Send me some detailed pics of the threads in the barrel....Just a rough guess, but I'm thinking around $25-$30 to fix it up like new.

What of all would you have to do? just rethread the handle?

If the threads are stripped, there is nothing to rethread. There are at lest three approaches I could take depending on the extent of the wear. All will require some machining on the lathe. Ideally if I can find a helicoil that size, I would simply take a couple .001 out of the barrel, re-tap it....insert the helicoil and you would be the only one who knows it's there! :) The other options are a bit more work....but to quote the famous Jeff Spicoli: "I've got the ultimate set of tools, I can fix it!" :)

I still just don't think the handle matches to the head. I'll put up some better nicer pictures. The handle doesnt even screw on at all and the threads on both the head and handle seem in perfect condition. The head simply slides into the handle.

I picked up a BEAUTIFUL Slim Aristocrat on BST two months ago for $35, but have seen them higher on eBay.

Goodwills are not so easy to come by, especially in fairly good condition as this one looks. The gold wash was VERY thin on those (the razor was a freebie during the Great Depression) and after the plating wore off was as close to a throwaway as anything could have been in those days.

The Gem that you have is one of the most under-rated shavers . . . they don't sell for much, but shave like a million dollars!
