I do a lot of tissue processing as part of my job, and we double bevel hone our blades on glass plates using honing compounds from Leica. I believe the fine paste is an aluminum oxide suspension. Has anyone ever tried using stuff like that as a slurry for their straights? If so, how did it work out?
