I'm sure the recent TJ Maxx issue regarding thousands of credit card #'s being compromised isn't news to many here. However, please know it is very real, as I was among those who's credit/debit card needed replaced, as was my girlfriend. Lucky for both of us, our banks caught on before any unauthorized activity took place.

Anyway, I mention this because I'm sure I wasn't the only one who spent the months of November and December scouring their shelves for Pecksniff's Colognes, Woods of Windsor Cologne/After Shave, C&E Sweet Almond Oil Shave Cream, etc. Just out of curiousity, anyone else have their cards compromised and/or replaced recently?

Ditto here, although it was my wifes card along with mine, my girlfriends bank hasn't notified her yet.

I had it happen once, after all was said and done I got my money back....for me it was an online payment service that decided to throw random nickle and dime charges, then deny it was happening (yeah, lesson learned...use well known payment portals).

I just got a notice from my bank today telling me my card information was among those that were compromised. Interestingly they are giving me the option of having my card replaced rather than just doing it carte blanche. They stated quite clearly I would not be responsible for any fraudulent charges but I'm not sure what to do know.

My wife does all the finances and online banking every week so it sure wouldn't take long to pick up on unauthorized charges, just not sure how comfy I am with just waiting to see if it happens.
