After browsing the forum over the last few days, I have noticed a lack of how-to's in the How-To Forum.
Since I had a razor to restore today anyway, I documented the process with pictures and wrote up this little walk through.

Very nice.
There is a 3 part series I wrote here (http://www.coticule.be/the-cafeteria/category/7.html) that is called "Finished Scale Project" parts 1,2 and 3 that you might want to take a look at.

I checked out your scale job. That looked very good. I really respect you guys that work with wood. When I first started making scales, I made a few sets of wood scales. It was just too frustrating. It took a week to get them properly finished. After having a few sets of scales split during peening, I gave up on wood. Wood has natural weak points with the scale designs that I like to make.
But nothing beats the beauty of a good set of wood scales.
