I knew once I was to get to straight shave #10 things where going to get much better.

All though not BBS by any means, I did have a nice comfortable shave. My shave was even and fairly smoothish.

What I enjoyed most and which I think really helped reduce any razor burn was to adjust my shave cream when re lathering. Making sure my shaving cream was properly mixed with my brush and had a nice Meringue consistency though out my shave.

I did only 2 passes with the grain and one across the grain. Used very little pressure. I stopped there and was happy with my results. Refrained from doing anymore passes to keep my face from any discomfort.
Things will only get better.

Cheers

Well done! Sometimes its better to have a comfortable than it is to have a close one. Keep working at it!

Nice work! Don't push it until you're ready. I do a two pass WTG & XTG probably 75% of the time. I get great shaves that way. I do ATG when I have some extra time or I feel the need to chase the elusive BBS. Usually weekends.

I agree with comfort. If it is not comfortable it is hard to say that it is worth the effort. Congrats and keep it up.

I'm still working on being able to shave at various angles on my neck. Not having rubber arms I'm finding it difficult to go at the angle between collarbone and chin. At some point I'll figure it out or a way around it.
