and since I've been promising to show off some here are few highlights.

First a rather interesting Bengall with a looong tail. Of course, as far as I'm concerned the ivory never hurts them either.

one more, the uncircumcised point

and there are many more... they all came from max who cleaned them up quite well. no regrinds, so the ones who had deep pitting have still some marks left, but I like to keep the original grind as the razor was designed.

All quite pretty. What's the last fellow's scales? Bone?

oh, no that would be ivory too. i have very few bone scaled razors. actually come to think about it I can't recall ever seeing rodgers with bone scales. i remember the pictures of their ivory and horn storages from that anniversary booklet, but can't recall bone.

Nice haul!
I'm curious about that bengall though, does the etch on the blade really read "Created expressley for Phil Levy"
Did TR Cadman & Sons do custom razors for individuals, or is this a store name?

and what on earth is the benifit of the "uncircumsized' tip on a razor? is that an official name, or is it something more personal?

I suppose it's too late to put my hat in and say "I'll take them off your hands for a dollar"?

Yes, I've seen other bengalls marked with different stores. I don't think it was done for individuals though.

It's the first razors I've seen with that hood thingy on, so I figured I get to name the point. French is taken and I think Irish too, plus my naming seems to fit really well without singling out any nationality... Although if it has to be I suppose a Philistine point would be a good biblical fit.

Can I call dibs on the dual notched Rodgers? :001_tt1:
If you ever decide to sell, that is.
