I really appreciate the mods..I was a dick at first, but they put up with me, and showed me that they were the better man than I was when it came to conflict resolution. Props especially to Austin, for the numerous PIFs he's sent my way, and the steady guiding hand and calming influence he's given me.
Also, props to poonjaji and Stubblefield and highball for great sales transactions, trust, and gentlemanly awesomeness overall.
A big up to The Nid Hog and Topgumby for always making me laugh and for oftentimes brilliant posts.
A huge mound of gratitude to AsylumGuido and Mr-Razor, for their invaluable contributions to our knowledge of all things Gillette.
Thanks to our vendors SCS Sue, letterk, and Jim at Vintage Blades for many great products, communication, transactions and help along the way.
And thanks to the great B&B family for all the advice, insights, opinions, and fun since I've joined. You guys are top class.
(this space reserved for future edits to add to my comments....there are others, but I'm tired, lol)

Indeed, an excellent place to do just that. :thumbup1:
Poonjaji: Michael has been so kind and generous to me since I joined! An overall kind and decent man! I am proud to call him my friend!!
Highball: A very good man! He has held a razor for me while I was away from the board because he knew I was really wanting this particular razor. In addition he gives me a heads up if he has a razor he knows I am after. A great gent to do business with!!
T Rick and Cfriend: Provided me with great info on razors I've had for years and had no idea what they were!! (during my newbie days...not that I'm still not a newbie, but they also suggested reference material to increase my knowledge)
Mr Razor: Always willing to answer my questions!!!
There are more of course, all B&B'rs have been very kind to me!!
Thank you B&B!!!
Ok, I'll throw one out to you, Baba. It's not very often that we stop to thank people for what we get out of this board. Pretty thoughtful of you to bring it up.

Great guy, replaced some AS samples that he mailed to me when the USPS/FBI/DHS/etc. smashed and detained my package for "testing" and "national security" purposes for about 6 weeks. :w00t:
Figures, they left the LV vial intact though...that one made it to me safely.'
Thanks again, man!

I would like to thank Rickboone1 - a very nice guy indeed. He sent me a whole bunch of cream/soap/blade samples over the Atlantic! The only thing I regret is not being able to sent him back samples of my own creams due to post office security issues :mad3:

Ian has, on several occasions gone out of his way to help me with razors (was my first Gillette adjustable acquisition), brushes (working on my first restore and Ian happen to have a spare brush that he kindly sent to me) and even spotting a TABAC special!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Being from downunder, Bill was the first person I did a transaction with when I signed up and thanks to him I am more than confident to continue utilising the BST and transacting with other US members!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

JPM,
Thanks brother! I appreciate it.
This place is filled with honorable men and women, and I am thankful for every one of you. The world is a crazy place and I might not be here tomorrow...so I like to tell people how I feel about them right now.
You have all made me feel welcome and right at home from my very first post to this very moment. Members of other sites can have their exclusivity, I'll take my inclusivity here at B&B. To the people who started Badger and Blade and to the people who continue to work hard to make it what it is today, I say thank you. I hope you all realize how much joy you bring to my life and I'm sure, to many other lives as well.
It would be great if we had a place in this forum to single out people and thank them for helping others, thank them for coming up with an idea that betters the B&B community or thank them for just being decent people. Maybe a sub forum where members could give proper recognition to other members on a day to day basis?
Is that possible?
Thanks.

Nice thread & thought, I fear I have been around too long to do proper props (you know what I mean), and to List is to Limit as they say. So, to all I have had interaction with here, in just about exactly a year, thanks ..

Kudos to AsylumGuido and Mr-Razor for helping to identify my late step-dad's 1941 Aristocrat in my first post here. AsylumGuido also got me started with my first DE, a '52 SuperSpeed, which is still my favorite. And to everyone else who takes the time to answer newbie questions.

I don't know too many people on this forum howver I would like to offer my thanks to Maher. When I was just getting into this crazy shaving world I bought a few old Gillettes from him. I got constant updates and everything arrived perfectly. Here's to a true gentleman!

I want to thank and say something nice about OckhamsBlade & KiltedShaver. I bought Razors and Brushes from these members and the transactions were A+++...Very honorable folks

Too many to list, I'll surely leave everybody out...
Siouxsie opened my eyes to the wonderful world of blades with an incredible PIF. Darjeeling Express has always struck me as the model of what this forum strives for when it comes to defining "Gentlemen".
Great transactions with Thunderball, Tob9595, and The Nid Hog. I look forward to their posts, as well as Luvmysuper, Goldenmonkey, Richmondesi, HoratioCaine, Blackfoot, Whosyerbob, Wingnut, heck, I love all you guys, man...
:c17:
Oh, and the mods for being mods and kicking butt, including mine when needed, all the vendors, Asylum Guido for pointing out the sharp end of a Super Speed, and Clubmanrob for turning me on to Clubman and The Nid Hog for further enabling and ......Hey, what's that hook coming from offstage?....
P.S. Oh, and Shane, too! \/
P.P.S. Darn, and Cfriend, too!\/ \/
P.P.P.S. And Ray, and Antique Hoosier, and Stan the Man, and...oh, the heck with it. \/ \/ \/ \/

I think that Shane guy is pretty awesome.
No, but seriously, many of the older folks here, like Joel, Jim, Andrew (Austin), Dave (scoopster), Scotto, Jay (ouch), just to name a few. I would never have known half of what I know about things ranging from clothing to watches to fine food and drink without them being here, and being here from damn near the very beginning.
Thanks!

Thanks to our gracious hosts for providing us with such a great community.
Thanks to Michael, Bill, Ehsan, and Jon for PIFs, advice, and friendship.
Thanks to the gurus (AsylumGuido, Achim, Len, many others) for seemingly endless knowledge.
Thanks to B&B as a whole for being such a great collection of people.

A positive mention for AsylumGuido, whose informative posts have taught me (and many others) a great deal. My personal favorite is the 3 piece razor thread by Guido.
And another good mention to the fellows who helped pioneer the brush restoration process and the long thread of ideas there.
