For sale is a 6/8 double hollow spike point straight razor. Minimal hone wear and the blade is pretty clean. There a a couple very shallow pits, but nothing very deep and nothing near the edge.
The pins are tight and the blade centers between the scales. It's a fairly thick spine and a hefty razor.
There is a picture of an Indian on the show side and it says Ontario and the number 96.
On the other side it says Ontario Cutlery Co. Geneva, NY U.S.A.
It's shave ready.
$50 $45 shipped CONUS, $55 $50 shipped INTL (no insurance) via paypal

Good lookin' razor at a good price. Who did the honing, if you don't mind me asking?

No, don't mind at all. I honed it myself. I wouldn't call myself a honemeister, but I did shave test it and it was nice and smooth. Of course, everyone has their own standard.

Nice razor. What just kicked me on this is that Ontario Knife exists in NY. I'm not sure what relation they are to the company that made the razor you have but they claim "Quality since 1889". And they do make some nice knives. Sadly no razors though.

How long have you been honing straights, out of curiosity?

About 4 months. This razor was actually close to shave ready when I got it though, so it really just needed a quick touch up.
I have shave tested it, and compared it to razors that I've had honed for me in the past before I started myself. I couldn't tell much difference.
For anyone that purchases the razor, if you aren't happy with it when you get it, I'll be glad to refund your money if you want to return the razor.

This looks exactly like a Geneva razor I have in terms of grind and blade profile. The Geneva is a great razor. I suspect this one will be as well.
