My first New Deluxe shave!

Tried out my first New Deluxe shave today! The soap I used with vintage tallowy Old Spice, a Gillette Super Platinum blade and my trusty Rooney 3/1 super Badger. It was a great shave! The heft of the weight concentrated in the head but still with a nice balance was great. A tad more aggressive than my Gillette adjustables or my go to 40's Aristocrat, but not overly so.

This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship!!

It is a nice shave. Glad you got the chance to use it. I think Mike has the market cornered on the De Luxe. Even though it's a little more aggressive it's a nice smooth shave. Congrats.

It's an aggressive shave, but surprisingly, I get closer shaves with less irritation from this razor than I do with my milder razors. The strange thing though is that the razor almost feels like it's scraping my skin while I shave, which doesn't feel very nice.
