Saturday:
Tried a new razor today:
Hot Soaked Savile Row 108
Nancy Boy Signature Shave Cream
Gillette 20's New Open Comb Razor w/Feather - Nice Razor very easy to adjust to. 3 nice passes no burn. A few of you were talking these up I can see why.
Warm Rinse
Cold Splash
Shavex Alum
Clean up let the Alum do its thing
Thayers Lemon Witch Hazel
SCS AS Milk
Very nice shave I think it was a combination of the NB and the non aggressive razor but I usually only do 2.5 passes and went with a full 3 (NB lather everywhere hated to see it go to waste). Well what ever it was very nice shave. This will defiantly be a combo I use again.:biggrin: function FormValidation() { if(document.getElementById('product_avail')) if(document.getElementById('product_avail').value == 0) { alert("Out of stock"); return false; } return true;}

Jeff, this is a vintage soap, my guess is that it is 30-40 years old. The packaging says that it was made in New York.

ah, ok, DJ. Talking about vintage soaps, I have one which was made in 1930's. It's called Shavallo, and it's very nice, I must say. Does that Palmolive soap work good?

I've had some trouble with my neck again...ended up with a sore spot or two, even a little breakout. Went back and tried something Scotto or someone (maybe LeisureGuy) suggested a while back that I had no luck with before: shaving with my left hand on the right side of my neck (I'm right-handed). It worked like a charm this time! Awesome shave today, ZERO discomfort.

Absolutely. The menthol rush is fabulous. It is too bad that I have to order it from the UK. I think my next experiment will be to see what creams I can buy locally excluding the canned goop, of course. I know I can get Florena, so the hunt begins.

It's rare that I get to shave in the evening.... when I know I'm really tired and there's no way I'm getting up on time in the morning, I take my time at night and relax with a good long shave. As an added bonus, I can skip the whole next day, and have extra growth the 2nd morning to attack with renewed vigor and fervor!

Mmmmmm... I'm digging the night shave every now and then, and I'm quickly developing a Sandalwood addiction, to go along with my Menthol addiction.
Almost BBS, but I paid the price by fooling around with my new Fatboy (lol) too much. Tried to do first pass at "5" and quickly realized that's too much. I'm still working on my technique with this first adjustable razor for me.

Late night shave due to an early morning:
Hot shower and towel
Proraso pre
Vulfix 2236
Palmolive Red
Shumate St. Louis 5/8 Square Tip
Hydrolast Conditioner ASB Peppermint
L'Occitane Cade Edt
The Palmolive shaving cream is outstanding. Nice lather and very slick. The Shumate is an ebay find that I honed yesterday. I am fast becoming a Shumate fan, this is my 3rd blade. The are all excellent shavers and take a great edge.
