This was an interesting project. As you can see, the original horn scales were really bad.

This is how the new horn scales turned out.

There was also some work done on the blade itself.

So don't rule out replacing the original horn scales with horn. Be careful when using this though, make sure you wear a mask when cutting and sanding.

I love how horn polishes up but man do I hate the stink of working with it.

I think I know what I want as a gift someday. Every W&B I've seen restored is absolutely gorgeous.

Me too. The strong camphor scent of sanded celluloid is invigorating to me.
