I have gotten more into vintage razor use as time has gone on. Right now I have a very early Tech (triangle holes) that appears to be from the late 1930s. More and more I was wondering if I could get an even older razor to go with my collection, but one that would still make a nice user. I was thinking something from the late 1920s or early 1930s. What sort of razor would fit this bill. I've heard about the Gillette "New Type" being from that period, but haven't seen any in person. What would fit this sort of thing?

The NEW was the first Gillette made to use the modern blade design. Many consider the NEW razor family to be the best shaving tools Gillette ever made. You can count me in that number. See the Three Piece Gillette link in my signature for more info.

+1 on the New. I like Techs, and I really like my New.

Allow me to stand up for Gillette Old Type (http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/index.php/Gillette_Old_Type)
A 3 Hole blade design but works perfect with modern blades.

In my opinion it is more streamlined and attractive than the NEW.
