I'm not sure the threads are the same... have you done this yourself?

most (if not all) 3 piece handles are interchangable with the real thing. I used my feather handle on my old type until i fixed the original handle
Sometimes I go the other way . . .

Last Friday I picked up, what appears to be new, Gillette Travel razor for the great price of .25 cents at a small thrift store. They acted like it was some sort of joke razor, for a kid to play with. I did not say anything other, then "It looks sort of cute". They smiled when I bought it. Took it home, took off the .25 sticker and washed the razor. The handle is kind of short, but I wanted to see if it shaved as proficiently as my regular ball end Tech. I pulled the handle off of my grandfathers Gillette New, put it on the Travel head and shaved with it this morning. I put a new Personna blade in it and got a great shave with it. I used some Saint Charles Shave, "Savory Rose" shave cream and an Omega 31064 brush. Three passes and one weeper, that stopped when I applied a stypic pencil. A pretty close shave for a mild razor.
