I posted this in The Score area but thought it might get a little more exposure here. This week I picked up a couple new razors. First off is a 1956 (B-3) Flair Tip in the case for the whopping sum of $2. Here's some pictures.

Also found a GEM 1912 (not a Junior) for $2 and a 1954 (Z-1) for $5, below the GEM.

And last, but not least, my wife found an old spoon holder and decided it would look good on the bathroom wall as a display case. Has a nice little drawer for blades, etc.

Wow, that's a wonderful display case! I love finding great deals. Unfortunately I missed out on going to a giant flea market this weekend. I would have had a blast searching out old razors.

Thanks everyone. The spoon holder really looks good, but I'm already watching for a bigger one. This one only has 12 slots and there are a few more specific razors I want to add to the arsenal. I'm sure everyone here understands.:w00t:

Nice scores, great case. I keep a good chunk of my den in and on an old bread box that I hit with black spray paint. It would be cool to have a wallhanger like that.

Very nice! Were those thrift store finds? That's the only place I've been able to find deals that good.

Awesome finds. I have yet to come across any good shaving stuff. I'm with jadam, where did you find this stuff?

Very nice. Those razors are a great score indeed.
Spoon holder? I would have never thought of that one. I've seen people use pipe stands / holders and that's the way I've gone. I've bought this one. I intend to put 6 DE's in it and use the glass jar to hold packets of DE blades.

I'm also looking at this one. I'll put GEMS's in it and use the centre tobacco storage for GEM blades and perhaps a few other shaving bits.

Antique stores. I've been to several Goodwill/Thrift stores and haven't found the first razor. A lady at a Goodwill store said they wouldn't put them out if they had any.

Antique stores. $5 is the most I've paid yet for my small collection.

That's actually what I was looking for, because I've read on here about people using them. Found one that was falling apart for $20, passed on it.I wouldn't have known what a spoon holder was if you'd have hit me with one but she suggested it and we actually found several, this one being the best.

Nice. I have an antique store in my area that always has some DEs, but no deals quite as good as those you picked up. I hope I can get over there one more time before I move! I've found better deals at thrift stores, myself. There is never anywhere near the selection, but if you can find a razor or two the prices are usually unbeatable. I've found them at Salvation Army and a local place called St. Vincent dePaul.
