I have 2 razors that I would like to get re-plated in either rhodium, gold or silver. Can someone point me to the correct place? Or does someone know a website or a person that does this type of work. I am clueless on where to start and I thought I could get some help from everyone here.
Thanks

Ask cooncatbob (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/member.php?u=458); most likely he'll be able to help, or at least give an advice.

You could contact Buddydog.
He replated a NEW for me in rhodium and it came out nice. Of course, as soon as I sent it off I regretted not having an original NEW so I bought another one.
Onotoman (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/member.php?u=8180) did a very fine job replating a Gillette Parat for me.

My undergrad quantum physics professor Jake Leventhall handles plating and I'd imagine for very reasonable prices. He does it mostly for old pens but I'm sure he can plate just about anything metal. Here's his site for Pens and Plating: Clicky (http://jakespens.net/). Here's a PDF he posted concerning plating - clicky (http://jakespens.net/Restoration.pdf)- again it's geared mostly for fancy pens but I'm sure he can plate other items as well. If you contact him, tell him Joe says hi and congrats on the two textbooks :-)
On a side note - this guy was without a doubt one of my favorite profs, excellent teacher and all around neat guy. Him and his son were both into Kickboxing, and if I remember correctly his son works (or worked) at a studio up east with Hoyce Gracie from UFC.

Everybody has been very helpful. I messaged buddydog and I look forward to hearing back from him. I will take a before and after pic to share with everyone.
I've got an Aristocrat that is in desperate need of re-plating, so I will keep all of this info in mind. Thanks guys.
