Just won those 2 on eBay - http://cgi.ebay.com/EARLY-CASED-PAIR-C1910-JOSEPH-RODGERS-STRAIGHT-RAZORS_W0QQitemZ330074229429QQihZ014QQcategoryZ887 QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Please .... don't ask me WHY. I'm a GEM guy but those 2 were such beauties ... I just couldn't resist. And they sure will look fine near my new B&B brush .... And I'm sure I would like to try them .....

What is your opinion of Joseph Rodgers as a straights manufacturer ? And of this specific pair ?

Oh god ..... and how will I smuggle them past SWMBO ?

Don't know much about Jos Rodgers, but anything Sheffield is generally a safe bet. And those look like beauties.

It looks like you got a real good deal on what should be some great shavers. They'll probably need some honing to be shave ready.

Joseph Rodgers, along with Taylors ('eye witness') are probably one of the very best of the Sheffield cutlers. They were for quite some time 'Cutlers to their Majesties' and have always used the very finest Sheffield steel (which incidentally is used for making a lot of Solingen razors!). I'm jealous as hell. What a pair.
