Razor Sub-Subtopic

The Razor forum is already split between Straight Razors and Safety Razors. I'd like to propose a further subdivision: splitting Safety Razors into Schick and Gillette (or DE).

I'm a Schick guy, and not even vaguely interested in Gillette or any other DE razor. OK, with the "feather" and some others, perhaps the subdivisions should be: Single Edge and Double Edge.

It's just too darned clogged-up, with all this DE stuff...

I am not sure whether I agree or disagree with another subforum requirement. I was one of those that early on thought that segmenting topics into meaningful chunks was a good thing. Why? It saves time, makes finding information easier, which is really a major function of the forum structure. Well, you should be saying, "So why don't you support my idea?" Right?:confused1
Here's why. It seems that there is a large number of folks who either through ignorance (not a dirty word-it can be cured through education) or stupidity (yes a nasty word) believe that the forum content can be anything they desire at any instant. :cursing: How many times do you go into the general forum and find an PURELY COLOGNES, or AFTERSHAVES, or SOAP, or ... (you get the idea) threads started by some yahoo who rails that he wanted to make sure everyone saw his brain storm and that he has (cross) posted his gem in both forums?
The razors forum really was a prime example for a while. It seemed as though there were folks who just couldn't get it. Everywhich sort of thread started at the RAZOR level whether it dealt with honing stones or DE blades. The poor mods had to go to extraordinary ends to deal with what we retahred military guys called a cluster f.. Ooops, goat rope.
So I don't know. Perhaps, if there is a SINGLE EDGE SAFETY RAZOR community out there in internet land, you can identify your threads with something that facilitates SINGLE EDGE SAFETY RAZOR afficionados finding it?:001_unsur

What you suggest makes sense. I think I'll begin the title of any Schick (or other manufacturer's) single-edged razor posts with "SINGLE-EDGED:" or "SCHICK INJECTOR:", followed by a more descriptive choice of words.
