And by the way, Lauren Bacall

She's not my type--this gentleman prefers brunettes--and not my first choice, but I'm always struck by how beautiful Lana Turner is in the 1941 Dr. Jeckyll and Mr Hyde. Sitting at the dinner table, she's just.... Some things are better left unsaid.

Maureen O'Hara is simply one of the most beautiful actresses to ever grace the screen. My favourite by far. I will add a new school actress to my list. Kate Beckinsale. She is a natural beauty and given her costume, hair and makeup treatment in Pearl Harbor, she would have easily been one of the silver screen's legendary ladies if her career had started in the 1930's. She has the "look" if you will.

Let me set this up first...

There is a scene in Luc Besson's La Femme Nikita where Jeanne Moreau is teaching Anne Parillaud how to be the femme fatale. Parillaud sits in a chair in front of vanity with Moreau over her shoulder. Camera goes close on the two faces in the mirror. A young beauty being handed the torch by regal grande dame who was once the young beauty.

Both these women were stunning in their primes.

The mirror shot happens about 1:45 but watch the whole scene. It's really nice. Sorry for the crappy italian overdubs but this was the only clip I could find :blushing: Don't turn the sound off though! Eric Serra's score for this scene is pure early 90's magic.
