Carbon Steel v Stainless Steel v Managanese Steel???

Hi Guys

I've seen the discussion about Carbon v Stainless
but does anyone know anything about Manganese Steel?

I found this:
"Manganese steel, also called Hadfield steel, is used for very rugged service; containing 12–14 percent manganese, it provides a hard, wear-resistant, and self-renewing surface over a tough unbreakable core."

Sounds great for tank tracks, digger buckets etc but how does this equate to Straight Razors?

This recent ebay razor noted Manganese Steel:

All steel contains manganese. That's just advertising verbiage. Wester Bros. advertised as using "Manganese Steel", and they're great razors, but there's nothing magical about the steel itself. Bartmanns are usually very good.
