Hi All -

(I just posted below that the DE's are now gone)

Here are a few items that I've had gathering dust for quite a while now. I got them all when I was brand spankin' new to wetshaving (hell, it's only been 9 months or so! LOL).

As you all know. This stuff multiplies like rabbits - so here goes:

The brush is LARGE. I have it photographed with the SMF.com brush on the left and a Vulfix 41 on the right.

I believe the knot is 30mm and it is Chinese silvertip. The handle is oil finished redwood. I oil it from time to time and I suppose you could always finish it with nitrocellulose or ? if you wanted to. As you can imagine; it holds a ton of water and the hair to me feels exactly like the Vulfix, albeit with a denser (is that a word?) knot.

It was handmade by a gentleman at the Yahoo Straightrazor place forum and sold on e-Bay. He has only made two others, to the best of my knowledge.

What am I looking for? Preferably TRADES! Trades are much more fun.

However - value wise? I'm thinking $90-ish for the brush . It's definitely worth that to me (I just don't know about anybody else).

I also have 3 unopened 12 packs of Gillette Mach 3 blades (standard, not Turbo or Power). Maybe, $10 per 12 pack on those.

All of these values are approximate, based on my best "guesstimation."

I ship USPS Priority Mail unless something else is worked out. I've had 100% success with this method whilst the "F-word" and "Big Brown" have let me down to the tune of a lot of $$.

Wants?
Just about anything Sandalwood does it for me!
QED soaps
Any of the CAR/Hydrolast products (specifcally the Cutting Balm)
Just about any EDT
Nice watches (eh Joel?) LOL
Brave Soldier Code Blue
Brooks Bros. 1818

JUST ASK!

Sorry for the long post. These items are beauties. Have fun! :a50:

Guys - if my prices are out of line; PLEASE feel free to talk to me about it.

I don't think my stuff is "PRICELESS" as some folks do. I just took a best guess.

-Or-

Maybe there's just no interest at this point and that's OK too.

Nah - I'm in no hurry at all. I just figured with all the people who viewed the post my prices must have been too high...

Anyhow - Both DE's are now gone.

Thanks to a fellow board member!

Hi all -

I was soaking the brush in Borax today and noticed that it lost a couple of bristles. I don't like that...

Anyhow - since that's happened, I'm lowering the price to $75 shipped if anyone wants it. If not, I'll just hang on to it as I don't really feel good about selling a brush that loses hair (they say that's normal, but I don't care for that happening)

After 3 soaks with Borax the brush still smells of QED Wild Rose (the infamous "First Batch"). :em2100:

Just FYI
