I picked this up a little while back. I really like old Sheffield blades. The price was low and I was the only bidder. When this happens I expect there is something wrong with it and I just didn't see it. This was not the case, other than a little hone wear and some pitting it was pretty nice. I didn't want to remove any of stamp so there is still some light pitting visible but the picture makes it look worse than it really is. The scales are horn and cleaned up nicely. Just needs a visit to the hones and it's good for another 150 years.

Nice... I saw the first picture and was wondering what was restored... It was after...

This one must be a charm to shave with? What size is it?

Thanks, I moved the pics a little.

It's a 6/8+ no shaves yet but if it's anything like my other Greaves it will be great. I hope to get it honed up this weekend.

I have always admired this maker. Solid Sheffield name. Good for you on snagging this jewel!

Nice job! Those old Greaves are fantastic razors.
