Is there an article or instructional guide for using an SE razor somewhere on B&B?
I'm hoping to have my first shave with a 1912 and Treet blade tonight but just want to read up on the method. I'm mainly concerned with the angles.

You shave the same as with a DE actually, but always using one side instead of flipping back and forth. Read your DE technique and you will know what you are doing--cheers!

GEM says to hold the razor head flat against your face, but most folks angle it off of their face a little. Good luck!

Gem's are the way to go, the ted pella blades are even smoother and a bit sharper than the treets i find,

My wife is getting me a beautiful ever-ready for Xmas. I can't wait to shave with it. It does make me a little nervous though.

Thanks everyone!
Don't be nervous Jim - it was one of the smoothest shaves I've ever had it felt even more natural to me than shaving with a DE.
On another note - you guys are a bunch of enablers - in one day I have purchased 2 more SE's (a 1912 Gem Jr with ornate handle and a G-Bar)! :w00t:
