The horn scales on this eBay special were in bad shape but i didnt want to write them off without at least trying to salvage them. Sanded away some rough bits and filled them and the crack in the pivot hole with epoxy. Hand sanded the blade to a respectable mirror finish, managed to keep that nice etch. Scales got reshaped, sanded and given the neetsfoot oil treatment. Stacked brass washers and pins, and acrylic wedge.
Looks a lot better now

Great looking razor, but no pictures of it closed so we can see the translucence at play?

Very nice. I like that you saved the scales. Most folks don't even try.
