Portable North Pole (http://portablenorthpole.tv/home)
This is a website that lets you make a customized video from Santa to your kids. I made one for my daughter, and I was seriously impressed. He'll say their name, you can upload a picture to go in his "naughty & nice" book, and he even says what he was proud of them for (ie. being nice to your brother).
Very cool!:w00t:

Can you get one with Santa chewing out the kid so they'll behave better?

Don't have to! That's what The Elf on the Shelf (http://www.skymall.com/shopping/detail.htm?pid=102517714&pnr=M53&cm_mmc=Shopping-_-Google-_-M53-_-102517714) does:w00t:
The story goes that this elf is sent out to your house to monitor the kids for Santa's list. He sits stone still observing the children (and is absolutely off-limits) and reports back to the North Pole every night. Naturally, I have to remember to move him to a new perch every day, but from Thanksgiving to Christmas my kids are angels. :thumbup1:

Neat idea Paul! I'll pass this along. We're already starting Little Soapbox on the "Elf on the Shelf" tradition, too. :biggrin1:

Paul, thanks for the link - Mr/Mrs texbilly will be setting it up right away! Also, my daughter received The Elf On The Shelf book at our family party this past weekend and it sounds like great fun. Now I need to find the Elf himself somewhere in the Austin area.

I later realized my daughter had received the activity book so I bought the story book/elf combo at a local Barnes & Noble. She has named her elf "Bob", who overnight has moved from his original perch. She's loving it!

Oh yeah. My daughter wakes up every morning and comes to us and asks if she can go see where "Alfie" is that morning. It's really fun:thumbup1:

Thanks for posting that.
I made one for each of my girls and they watched them last night. They were absolutely FASCINATED; they were waving to Santa and talking to him - you could tell that they were 100% convinced he knew who they were and was talking to them PERSONALLY. The looks on their faces were priceless...
