I was initially hesitant about trying and using Creed's Erolfa, being that it's one of those "nautical/fresh" scents that seem to be all the rage these days. And when I pulled off the cap for the first use, the initial plastic note was a real turn off (I now think it was the packaging and not the fragrance itself). However, I spritzed it a couple times into a paper towel and that smelled good, so I put one shot onto my bare chest, swiped my forearms through that and finished getting ready for the day.

Veeerrry nice. Erolfa has a wonderful scent and none of the overpowering/gagging aspects of so many of the other "nautical/fresh" frags that are out there. My wife liked it - a LOT - and said it was a keeper. At the two and a half hour mark it's still going strong and has mellowed down nicely from the initial citrus blast.

From the Creed website (http://www.creedboutique.com/creed-perfume-for-men/11-erolfa-creed-fragrance.html):

Classification: Green / Fresh
Top Notes: Citrus fruits and bergamot
Middle Notes: Herbal notes
Base Notes: Ambergris
Comparatives: Selection Verte, Tabarome Millesime, Green Valley

From the Basenotes page (http://www.basenotes.net/ID26120581.html):

Top Notes: Ozonic Notes
Middle Notes: Tangerine, Bergamot
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Ambergris

Mitch, I've got your wife figured out: she likes only EXPENSIVE scents on you! That explains both her "thumbs-up" on Erolfa and her "thumbs-down" on Bowling Green.:lol:

I think that Erolfa smells perfectly nice. Supposedly it's David Beckham's cologne of choice. Much better than the new Tabarome, a supposed comparable fragrance.

I should note that I got good longevity out of Erolfa, which lasted throughout the day and finally died down to a very light scent by bedtime.

Big thumbs up from me and the missus!
