How would you hone this?

I have a new Dovo half hollow from knifecenter.com, which means it hasn't been honed past the factory stage (that I am aware). I have coarse, fine, extra fine, 2x extra fine DMT plates, a chinese 12k water stone, and a 2 sided Ahconite barber hone (one side probably at least as fine as the 12k, the other is a coarse cutting surface but I'm not sure where it would fall. Probably between the extra and the 2x extra DMT?)

Given that it comes with a factory edge, does that mean a decent bevel is set already? I'm thinking that I should hit it with either the 2x extra fine DMT or the coarse side of my barber hone, then the 12K, then the fine side of my barber hone. Sound like a reasonable plan?

On another note, after lapping my barber hone (and getting all the glazed crap off it), I'm struck by how pretty it is. Guess I'm sentimental.

Start with the highest grit you've got, give it up to 40 laps, if nothing is happening, move down the grit. Repeat. I'm assuming you know what to do after that.
