I have numerous Valets and a couple of that model so I am not in the market. But, if you don't have this shaver, you should take advantage of this generous offer!!

It's worth nothing, however, that unless you buy the Feather SE blades (which Pauldog is currently out of) I don't believe you can shave with this specific model of Auto Strop. Even still, I have several because they are so neat to look at.

I am very tempted to take you up on your practically free Valet Razor. However, I also was fortunate to have been able to put together a complete boxed Valet as originally shipped so many years ago.

Your Valet Razor looks to be in better condition than the ones I acquired, but mine are useable so I will let someone else have a chance at your generously discounted Valet. I cannot imagine that there will be no takers, and if that proves to be the case, I would love the chance to upgrade to a better Valet Razor. Therefore, I will wait on the sidelines for a little while before I PM you myself.

BTW, I also found an unopened box of 5 blades (which I opened) and fortunately, they are in pristine condition. The blades are difficult but not impossible to find. It just takes some patience and a bit of luck. BTW, I plan to shave with my Valet Razor because I have heard so many good things about the shave it gives.

I have what appears to be the same razor as this one, with those indentions in the A and T of VALET, I believe this might prevent use of feather SE blades. This was done to insure only Valet blades with the name punched out could be used I assume. But excellent razor to have for historical value.

I'm on my phone so I can't find the link, but I'm almost 100% certain there was a thread (maybe on tsd?) about a specific feather blade with cut outs that fit the "lettered" auto strops. Also +1 to reconditioning nos blades.

this thing looks cool as hell...i'm a total newb here...sounds like blades are a pain to find for this thing?

i'm almost interested in it just to set it on a shelf...but if it can be used for shaving that would be a plus as well!

I received both the razor and the strop...this thing looks so cool thank you both a lot...now to start hunting for some blades.

This is my first ever purchase; if there is a feedback thing or thread or anything ill be sure to give good remarks.

I will start a thread asking about blades in the general chat section.
