View Full Version : Guess The Cheeze
MrLastway

This one is pretty much straight forward.
Almost the same rules as the Guess that movie thread... just that its about
cheese :w00t:
I will start with a cheese and the one who guess what it is gets to post the next one.
Rules: ( I just stole the movie rules with a few changes :001_rolle)
* If you guess, please wait for confirmation that your guess is the correct type of cheese.
* If the previous winner does not give a confirmation or new clues within a week, the person with the best guess can feel free to go.
* Keep it fun. You can post obscure types, but be prepared with some good hints.
* If nobody can guess your Cheese within 2 days, please start with small hints.
* You get bonus points if the picture you post involves shaving
*The first person to post a picture of cheddar Looses
I wonder how many types of cheese there are out there:confused1 well we will see how far this thread goes :biggrin1:
Try more common cheeses at first so that we can take the more obscure types later:biggrin1:

Lucky guess based on a memory of an episode of the Brit-com "Chef!"

Somewhere in the back of my head I know what that cheese is, I've seen it and may have tasted it. But for the life of me I can't recall what it is. For some reason I want to say manchego, but don't think that's right.

Half way there. So, I'll give it to you since this has gone on too long. It's a pecorino, but not your average one. It's a "pecorino foglie di noce" (pecorino in walnut leaves) which apparently tastes entirely different than your pecorino romano.
ok, your turn.

The picture I took was of Bouq Emissaire
A thick, luxuriously smooth soft goat cheese encased in a bloomy rind. The thin ash layer gives the cheese a most interesting appearance and functionally slows down acid production as the cheese matures. The exquisite citrusy tang of goat milk makes your mouth water and long for more.
It is made in St. Hubert Quebec
