I should have titled this "Oh yeah, baby, yeah!" Tried out my new slant razor this morning and got a terrific shave, nearly BBS. I was a bit apprehensive at first as it is an aggressive looking piece of kit. I took it nice and easy. The first pass didn't seem to do much, but the XTG and ATG certainly did the job. This result was achieved with the Merkur blade that came with the razor. Can't wait to try a few different blades. I now have a new favourite razor. :thumbup1:

This may sound like a dumb question but what is the difference between a slant and a regular razor? Also how aggressive of a razor is it? Thanks

The slant holds the blade so that it cuts at a.. well.. slant.
This creates a sort of "slicing" motion via the slanted approach the blade takes towards the whisker. The shape of the razor needed to hold the blade at said angle causes a more aggressive stance in the first place, I believe. (I don't have one, and I'm basing this off of pictures I have seen and from using a Merkur classic regularly)
"aggressive" doesn't mean bad. It means it cuts closer sooner (or more distance on a hair shaft at a time).
Please correct me if I'm wrong. There are lots of Slant fans here.
