chicago - razors in the loop

Hi All,

I will be in the loop tomorrow in the AM. I would like to pick up a set of razors if possible. i can bring my de on the plane.

I called Merz and they charge 7.50 for 10 merkurs, and 10 for 10 german brand!

Help - any last minute recommendations or am i sensoring it ?

I doubt there are any Dollar General or Family Dollar stores in The Loop; their blades aren't too bad. You might try a Walgreen's or a CVS as they carry blades. Local independent pharmacies may also carry blades.

For what Merz wants for blades, you could almost FedEx overnight AM delivery a pack to your destination. :scared:

Thats the issue, the prices are ridiculous!

I get a 10 pack of feathers for 4.99 and a 5 pack of astras for 1.79 in NYC.

Walgreens and CVS aren't much better. I think 10 blades will set you back around $4.

I would check the T& H store at 900 N Michigan for Merkur (they sell their razors), or check at any of the many Walgreens Drugs in Chicago for Walgreens branded Personna DE blades. They are not cheap though.
