It is a good idea and I use it sometimes before committing to buy something.
That said I think it could be improved.
Firstly, its a bit untidy. For example, the other day I was reading reviews on the cheap Men-U shaving brush. Reviews of a more expensive brush were in there amongst the reviews for the correct item listed.
Secondly, I feel the ratings need to be looked at. Personally I just read the reviews and I think a write up on a users experience with a certain product regardless of percentage is much more informative. How often have you read a review where something like 'adjustability' is given 0, which ultimately affects its score.
Thirdly, is there a way to stop stupid reviews? You know people commenting when they used an item once. Perhaps all future write-ups have to go through a mod who then lists it in the reviews section of the site.
Any other ideas you lot so this resource can be even better?
