I realize it says wine, but they're selling a 3 pack of some fancy schmancy salts over there. I don't know much about it, not being a fine salt lovin feller, but I thought some of the gents here would enjoy it.

I use the dehydrated tears of my enemies. It adds a touch of sweetness to the saltiness.

I like a good sea salt, but have never tried a fleur de sel that was worth what they sold for. Penzey's offers a less-expensive version, but if I was blindfolded, I doubt I could detect much difference from other coarse sea salts.

Fleur de Sel being not purified will add more algae, minerals and taste to your dishes..It is the first harvest or superficial layer of salt and always made by north winds The bad thing is the prices are rising as if it was black caviar. That said the best Fleur de Sel around is made at Tavira and Aveiro in Portugal. Take that with a grain of...salt?? Nope, it's true!!
