I'm repairing some 6 year old Reeboks my parents bought me ages ago.. when I was 18 heh. The soles are coming off; one's super glued, and I'm going to crack that off and acetone it so I can hide glue the whole sole properly. I'll also hide glue some of the failing interior so it can stand up to a couple more years wear; when I'm done they should have 2 more years or so on them, and I'll dump them at Good Will.

First though, the insides seem mildewed or something... ancient shoe smell. I was examining the damage trying to decide how to best repair them, and ... yeah, it was a short examination. Old and musty, but not... rotting... or anything bad. I'd rather they be clean and fresh.

I just got some New Balance MW901 today, which I'll get from the mail when I go home. These should be much better shoes.

I have cedar shoe trees in all of my sneakers and shoes and they still look and smell new.

A six year old pair of Reeboks hardly seems worth the effort. Personally I would just throw them out.
