Withdrawn!!

I've moved on to boar brushes for the most part so I'm getting rid of some of my Badger brushes. Here are two of them.
They've both been cleaned and disinfected.

The first is a re-knotted vintage EverReady. The knot is the 21mm UK Super Badger knot from TGN. It is advertised as hand tied with a natural sketch (no trimming).
This brush was restored and re-knotted by lax1mxr from here on B&B. He does a great job. I used it maybe 15 times since it was re-knotted. The knot itself costs $29 and the handle and restoration are not cheap.
It's a tall brush with most of the height in the handle, making for a firm knot with very soft tips. This brush works well with soaps and creams.

This brush is not a shedder!!

I'd like $45 $42 for this brush shipped CONUS.

The second is a C&E BBB. Read a review of this brush here: The Review (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?ltr=C&t=34562)

It is the fancy handled C&E brush with what I believe is the legendary EJ BBB knot (but I can't confirm this). Anyway, the knot is lovely and soft. I've used it with soaps, but it really excels with creams. Whips up a lather in almost no time. This brush hasn't shed a hair.
The handle is heavy and substantial, and very handsome with the black handle and nickel trim.
The knot is handmade in England.

The brush retails for $65 new, and I'd like $42 $39 for it shipped CONUS.

Payment should be by Paypal using the 'personal' tab. If you prefer to use the 'purchase' tab there will be some additional fees (about $3.50 each) to cover the Paypal fees.

Good man on switching to boar. I love my Omega and I have a Semogue coming this week.

Don't tell anyone, but I even loved my VDH monster.

I already have an Omega #48 and a Semogue 2000 and 1305. They're great brushes. However, I don't find them scrubby enough, so I'm holding on to some of my badger brushes.

After soaking, the boar brushes are really soft (once they're broken in). There's no way to evaluate a boar brush when it's dry.

What badger brushes do you find are scrubby enough for you?

I really like my Rooney 1/2 Super (from VB). I believe that they're chosen for lower lofts, that makes the knot stiff with some backbone and it feels scrubby while retaining the soft silvertip feel. Otherwise, I have an Omega Pure Badger brush (not sure of the model), that does really well in the scrubbiness department.

The EverReady I've listed also has some backbone and feels like it does a good job lifting the hairs while face-lathering, however, it overlaps in that department with my Rooney, so it's dispensable.

AWWWWW!

I JUST bought a C&E BBB! Like, literally 4 hours ago. Wait. More like 3 hours.

Bump for a disgustingly good price.

Well, with 290 views and no takers these brushes are obviously either badly priced, or nobody wants them.

I don't want to get rid of them that much, so they're withdrawn!!

Thanks!!

might just be bad timing with the 2009 brush coming around

That could be it.

I was getting rid of them mostly to keep SWMBO off my back anyway. I actually quite like these brushes, and will enjoy having them for a bit longer.
