This is one I decided to take back to original or as close as I could get it anyway ...

A Koch & Schafer #99 Super Kama 6/8+ Round point full hollow grind...
This one was a little neglected but in good shape other than cosmetically... there is near zero hone wear on this one...

I took the razor completely apart and cleaned it up inside and outside, the blade was polished back up on the buffers... I lost the etch that said Super Kama but the polish came out near perfect...
I cleaned up the scales, put in vintage bearing washers and re-pinned all three pins in vintage style brass so they all match...

If you haven't ever shaved with one of these razors, you have missed a treat, they have some of the smoothest steel you will find out there...Look for this one on my website....

Nicely done. I had to treat a Kama myself a couple of weeks ago.
It had been badly chipped and I decided to leave the chip be
and just proceed as normal.
The razor was given to me by a friend along with a second one
that was in good shape.
I told him that I didn´t want to grind down the Kama to a 3/8
but tried to sharpen it and shave-test it anyway.
I dulled the "edges" of the chip and proceeded as usual.
I didn´t believe it but the chip (really big one!) didn´t bother me at all.

It was a clean, smooth and perfect shaver!
He was lucky to find this one and lucky the chip didn´t interfer with the shaving quality.
It´s still a pitty looking at the nice but damaged razor but the shave makes up for it.
This is the only razor I would use for my face, even though it is badly damaged. Otherwise I would never do so!
