Okay I am sure I can search the threads and find an answer that way but hey whats the fun in that! not to mention +1 for me! Anyway So I have an 1981 SuperAdjustable (birthyear) and I have noticed its getting slightly more difficult to get that last twist to lock down the blade. And since I change settings for my last past I find it annoying to have to use a towel to do this just to get enough grip. I am guessing its probably buildup? So whats the best way to to do a good cleaning from people that have experienced this with their SuperAdj? I cant wait for the plethera of responses.

Spray some scrubbing bubbles down into it from the top, work it some and let it soak. You can then scrub it with a toothbrush and rinse it well. I then give mine a run through an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner.

I haven't experienced that with my SA, but then again, I rotate razors often. As for build up, even though I think I keep my razors clean, soap can build up internally. Try the Scrubby Bubble treatment in a bowl and do it several times to create a pool of cleaner. Let it soak in it for an hour or so and I think you might get in the nooks and crannies and rid any built up scum. Otherwise, have you tried giving it a long (maybe overnight) mineral oil bath?
