Today I decided to take what was left of a puck of Williams, which was nothing but the outer ring and a puck of Col.Conk's Bay Rum which was in the same condition and introduce them both to my cheese grater. I then mixed the little mounds of shavings into one and pressed it into my Merkur shave soap bowl.
Shortly afterwards I took a shower and tried out my new concoction, I must say it worked rather well. Thick and slick, I soaked the brush while taking a shower, but I didn't soak the soap as I normally do, so the grating made a big improvement.
Is it as good as my Tabac and MWF mix, no, but it cost one tenth of that mix, but I would say it is 70-80% there. It smelled good, so I give it two thumbs up. Anyone else try this combination?

That's a good idea. I've always pitched mine when they get down that low, which is funny because I always slap slivers of bath soap onto new bars to completely use them.

I've grated what was left of my Williams and combined it with some VDH soap... just melt the VDH in the microwave and add the Williams shavings to the mix and viola!!... I've also gone as far as to add a spoonful of Noxzema face cleanser (the one in the tub) and some EO's for scent.

70-80% as good as a Tabac/MWF mix puts this in quite a high rating; worth trying it out.
