View Full Version : Canadian numbering--1906(?) Single ring

I recent got a single ring Made in Canada (sorry don't have a working camera at the moment) that is numbered 482224. I looked really carefully, but there does not seem to be a letter. If the Canada Gillettes use the same numbers as the US, that should put it in mid 1906, about the time when the single ring was first introduced.
Do I have my dates right?
I'll try to post a picture later.

There is an uncertainty about the Canadian dating, but I see the Montreal plant as following the early serial numbering scheme. Therefore, I agree with you as your Canuck Old Type would be a 1906.
